necklace

All mangled and twisted and scraped up from asphalt, the links were crushed and the clasp was scraped and I fished it out of the puddle of melted snow and put it in my pocket.

sketches on a Sunday

I don't need electrical outlets in coffee shops. Just give me some green tea and a pen and maybe a twisted and mangled necklace chain from a puddle of melted snow outside to get me going... I'll be fine for a good couple of hours...

graph paper

Pigma Micron 005 with .20mm line width. Super convenient and probably my favorite pen, but it still can't compete with a pen nib and a bottle of india ink...

sledding accident

When I was a little kiddo I got in a sledding accident (which involved me and an ice-packed snowbank) where I cracked a lumbar vertebra. I was at my friend Heather's house and her father was an EMT- he packed me in the sled with blankets and Heather's stuffed animals to keep me immobile on the drive to the hospital. They offered me a fluffer-nutter sandwich while we prepared to leave, and I declined- clearly out of sorts from all the commotion. I still regret saying no to that sandwich...
